Vieux Clos Saint-Emilion.
This property from Michel Terras is located on the famous Wets-Plateau of Saint-Emilion, just a few hundred meters from the small city St-Emilion.
The vinetards covers eight hectares, consisting of the following grape varieties: 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 5%Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Pressac.
The soils are sandy, from eolien deposits, resting on a basement alios.
The wine is vinified in cement vats and stainless steel tanks which allows perfect control of the different phases of fermentation. then he has the privilege of being raised in new oak barrels.
The planting of vines ( 40-50 years ) gives the wine a deep, intense color and a softness which pleases the palate.
This is a wine that fits perfectly with beautiful pieces of meat and cheeses.
